STRAND THEATRE
TWO ACTION FILMS •• The Great impersonation," which heads the programme now showing at the Strand Theatre, is an adaptation of E Phillips Oppenheim’s novel of the same name. Ralph Bellamy has the starring role as the man who impersonates a ruthless enemy counter-espionage agent, a double of himself. Evelyn Ankers and Kaaren Verne have the feminine leads, and others who are included in the cast are Edward Norris, Charles Coleman and Henry Daniell. The second film is Bullets for O’Hara," a fast-moving drama of the underworld, with Joan Perry, Anthony Quinn, and Roger Pryor. The Story concerns a beautiful girl, who marries the man she loves, unaware that he is a gangster. Pryor has the role of an enterprising detective, who untangles the maze. Box plans are at the D.I.C. and the theatre.
