COUNTRY CLUBS’ CHAMPIONSHIPS The Oamaru Amateur Swimming Club, at a meeting held on Tuesday night, decided to send a team to compete in the country clubs’ championships, to be held in Dunedin. It was agreed that the junior members should be subsidised. Mr G. S. Jones (president) was in the chair. The secretary was directed to bring before the Oamaru Boruogh Council a proposal that men and women of the forces should be allowed the use of the baths free of charge. It was decided to hold a carnival on February 6.
