ALL PURPOSES APPEAL

DELEGATION AT WAIKOUAITI The organisation of the All Purposes Appeal for 1943 in the Waikouaiti Patriotic Sub-zone was discussed on Monday afternoon, when Mr James Hogg (chairman of the Otago Patriotic Council’s Appeals Committee), Mr J. J. Marlow (deputy chairman of the council), and Mr A. E. Russell (secretary) met the Mayor, Mr A. Fell, and members of the Waikouaiti County Council. After the Patriotic Council’s representatives had reviewed the activities of the patriotic organisation, both overseas and in New Zealand, and had explained the requirements of this year’s budget, the apportionment and raising of the Waikouaiti Sub-zone’s quota of £3093 was discussed. At the conclusion of the meeting assurances were given that every effort would be made to see that the amount required from the Waikouaiti district was fully subscribed.
