MEETING OF ASSOCIATION REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES Arrangements were completed by the committee of the Otago Cricket Association at its meeting last night for the representative matches in which Otago teams will be engaged during the holiday period The president, Mr W. R. Brinsley, was in the chair. The meeting agreed to the suggestion ol tire Canterbury Association that the hours of play for the Canterbury-Otago match at Christchurch on December 25 and 26 should be 2 p.m. to (i p.m. and 11 a.m. to (i p.m. respectively. A. R. Knight was appointed captain of the Otago team. It was decided to play the Brabin Shield match (for players under 21) between Canterbury and Otago at Carisbrook, and the match between .Southland and Otago representative teams at the North Ground on December 25 and 2C. The hours or play in each of these games will be: First day—2 p.m.-6.30 p.m.; second day, 10 a.m.6.30 p.m. Mr E, Hayes was appointed manager of the Otago team for the Brabin Shield match and Mr G. McGregor manager of the team to play Southland. The hours of play in the match between Otago and Canterbury at Carisbrook on January 1 and 2 were fixed from 10.30 a.m. to G p.m. each day. It was decided to play matches between intermediate teams from the north and south ends of the city at Tonga Park on December 25 and 26, and at the North Ground on January 1. THE SOUTHLAND MATCH The selectors —Messrs J. McMullan, G. J. Robertson, and A. R. Knight—have selected the following players to represet Otago in the match against Southland at the North Ground on December 25 and 26;—A. Jack, J. Fraser (Carisbrook), D. McDonald, E. Ledgerwood (Dunedin), F. Rennie, G. D. Watt, L. Baker (University), G. McGregor (Kaikorai, captain). R. Vial, C. Welham (Kaikorai). J. Cullen (North-East Valley), and V. Leader (Army). The twelfth man will be announced later.
