FORGERY AND UTTERING
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Doc. 16. Samuel Torepe, ex-town clerk of Ohakune, aged 39, was admitted to probation for 12 months by Mr Justice Blair in the Supreme Court yesterday, on charges of forgery and uttering and theft as a servant, and false pretences. His Honor said the offences were all of a trivial description. The prisoner was ordered to make restitution, and to pay the costs. The amount involved was about £SO.
