THE PRESIDENT COOLIDGE
SUNK CLOSE TO SHORE WASHINGTON, Dec. 15. The Secretary for the Navy, Colonel Knox, disclosed that the President Coolidgc was sunk tlose to the shore in the Solomons area. The Naval Board is inquiring into the possibility that the vessel struck an American mine.
