GENERAL AND LADY FREYBERG (Rec. 1.30 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 15. General Sir Bernard Freyberg and Lady Freyberg are both mentioned in despatches in the London Gazette for gallant and distinguished services in the Middle • East. This is believed to be the first time that a husband and wife on war service have been gazetted together. Lady Freyberg went to Egypt in 1941 and organised the Forces Club for the fighting men of the desert army.
