OTAGO AERO CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING The fifteenth annual meeting of the Otago Aero Club was held on Wednesday night. The chair was occupied by the president (Mr J. J. Marlow), and there was a small attendance owing to me absence of so many members on military service. . , , Prior to the commencement of business, the chairman asked members to stand as a mark of respect to the memory of Mr Charles Todd, who was patron ol the club. The chairman also referred to the loss on active service of a number ol club members, and to the death of Mr T. A. Robinson, the auditor. A motion of sympathy with the relatives was carried. The adoption of the annual report and balance sheet was moved by Mr Marlow, who stressed the need of keeping the club on an active footing and thus providing a solid foundation for the great increase in aviation. which was bound to come after the war. He also commented upon the sound financial position of the club. The following office-bearers were elected: —President. Mr J. J. Marlow; immediate past president, Mr W. H. Shepherd; vice-president, Mr J. S. Skinner; committee— Flight Lieutenant M. P Greenslade, Messrs H. L. Longbottom. H. C. Harford. H. X. Sinclair, and Captain I H. Penrose, together with two representatives of the City Council, the present representatives being Mr Marlow and Lieutenant-commander Connolly; auditors. Messrs J. A.
