RICCARTON NOTES

(Special) CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 7. Little Secret will not race at Ashburton this week. His feet have been causing trouble, and this may have been responsible for his mulish attitude on Saturday, when he refused to gallop, even when his trainer, D. Cotton, got on his back. It is proposed to spell him for a few months. The four-year-old. Willow Wood, by Cricket Bat from Winsome Hind, has been sold by Mr J. Musson to Mr J. D. Simpson, of Auckland, and he will join I. Tucker's stable at Ellerslie, when arrangements can be made for sending him north. He will not be raced at Ashburton, but he should do well in Auckland, as he is improving.
