St Clair Branch.—Mrs W. Rutherford presided. Mrs Wakefield Holmes gave an inspiring address on " The Power of Words." Mrs Taylor returned thanks to Mrs Holmes. The thought for the month was given by Mrs E. Anderson, and Mrs Starr read the aims and objects of the league. Mrs W. Trott was appointed representative for Timaru at the provincial meetings. Mrs McDonald acknowledged the receipt of materials for soldiers' toilet bags and skull caps, and wool was distributed for scarves. Beautiful spring flowers were received from Mrs Main, of Napier.
