THREE ONE-ACT PLAYS

The monthly play social of the Dunedin Repertory Society was held in the Concert Chamber last night. Three oneact plays were presented, the plays and their casts being announced by Mrs M. O'Suliivan. For " The House in Fern Road," by Maud Cassidy and Peter Coke, presented bv the Drama Class, the following was the cast:—Monty Drew, Roland Watson; Yvonne Watts, Adair Thompson; Clarice Lov.ell, Joyce Rowley; Annette Taylor, Myra McKechnie; Dr Spayne, Jim Haleis; Patricia Tanner, Margaret Abernethy. " Macbeth," Act 1, Scene 111, was produced by Miss Lilian McCarthy. The parts of the witches were taken by Mrs Gilbert, Mrs S. P. Cameron, and Miss Lilian McCarthy; Hecate, the Tripleheaded Goddess, by Miss G. Farnie; Macbeth, by Mrs E. L. Eastgate; and the apparitions by Mrs Benzoni, Mrs C. M. Focken. and Miss Betty Allan. " Cupid Rampant," a comedy presented by the W.E.A. Drama Class, was produced by Mrs Kay Hewett. The following was the cast:—An unmarried female, Isobel Brown; the sergeant registrar, lan Jamieson; an orderly, Jim Dillon; an unmarried male, Brian Begg; the controller fo the creche, Ruby Hannan.
