REBUILDING LIDICE
FUND STARTED IN BRITAIN RUGBY, Sept. 6. The President of Czechoslovakia (Dr Edouard Benes) and the president of the Mine Workers' Federation (Mr W. Lawther) were among the speakers at a meeting held in the Staffordshire town of Haniey for the purpose of officially inaugurating a movement entitled "Lidice shall live." The object is to raise £1,000,000 to rebuild the Czech village of Lidice which was razed by the Nazis.
