RIFLE SHOOTING
OTAGO MINIATURE ASSOCIA HON The second competition of a series of four matches to be fired by the members of the Otago Miniature Rifle Association was completed this week, and some good scores were registered. The four teams were selected from all the members attending these shoots, and up to (he present the teams' scores are very even. The third competition will be fired on August 5, and the final on September 3. A trophy has been provided for the winning team. All members competing in the competition will be graded, and a trophv has been provided for each grade. The following are the results:— No 3 Team.—A. Gillespie 79. I. Craig 78 Miss Wood 77, G. Lane 77, C. Callender 75', Miss Pullar 75. E. Gallon 74, Miss O'Neill 73; total, 608; first shoot, 757: — grand total, 1365. No. 1 Team.—Mrs Bradley 80, Mrs Johnson 79, D. Lamont 78, G. H. Smith 77. S. Smith 77. Mrs Isitt 77, A. Johnstone 76, Miss Singleton 73; total, 617: first shoot, 746;—grand total. 1363. No. 4 Team—R. Bruce 79. J. Bradlev 77 G. S. Devonport 76, Miss Corke 75, Miss Kerr 75. H. Wills 75, Miss R. Parker 74 C. H. Kitchen 74; total, 605; first shoot, 756;—grand total. 1361. No 2 Team.—C. J. Gamble 79, F. Godfrey 78, A. Begg 78, Miss Robinson 77. W Burt 77. C. G. Evans 76, G. F. Smith 76' IT. Taylor 74; total, 615; first shoot, 742;— grand total, 1357.
