CHANGES IN SENIOR GRADE At .the weekly meeting of the Management Committee - of the Otago Rugby Union;-last- night, Mr Ira Grant presiding,, the' withdrawal of the Army B team from the First Grade competition was accepted. The reason given for this decision was that it had been proved that the members of the team were too that the members of the team were too young and light for First Grade football. Sickness and week-end leave were additional factors. The secretary (Mr E. S. Wilson) reported that an Artillery team had been entered to fill the vacancy. It was expected that this side would be heavier and stronger than the Army B team. A substitute entry in the Second Grade was accepted from the army authorities. A letter from the New Zealand Rugby Union advised that Mr J. N. Millard, of Wellington, was the only nominee for the presidency of the New Zealand Union for the coming year and he had therefore been declared elected. The other officers will be elected by postal ballot. T. R. D. Webster, a member of the ' Pirates Club, was granted permission to play for Zingari-Rlchmond. C. McHerron was granted a transfer from the Westport Old Boys’ Club to Dunedin. Draw for Saturday The draw for Saturday was confirmed as follows: ‘ First Grade.—Air Force v.
