PATRIOTIC ACTIVITIES
On Friday last the South Dunedin Dug-out was in the charge of the South Dunedin Ladies' Labour Party, which raised the useful sum of £22 lis 2d. This represents a really fine contribution to the patriotic funds, particularly in view of the unfavourable weather and the fact that Poppy Day collections were made that day. Next Friday the Dug-out will be in the charge of the Caversham Ladies' Bowling Club, the members of which hope to exceed the record achieved by the London Mantle Company a fortnight ago.
