RATIONING AMENDMENT

COUPONS AVAILABLE FOR FOUR WEEKS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Apl. 20. An amendment has been made by the Food Controller. Mr J. E. Thomas, to the rules governing the use of coupons as issued in ration books. The change provides for coupons being available over a four-weekly period instead of purely on a weekly basis. It is stated in Rule 5 in the ration books that coupons must be used from week to week and are not usable in subsequent weeks, but the alteration now permits the saving up of coupons for four weeks, but does not permit of the cashing in of coupons ahead of the weeks for which they are allotted.
