MAORI HILL E.P.S.
MEDICAL DIVISION’S DISPLAY. A successful display of first aid work •was given by the Maori Hill division of the E.P.S. Medical Section on Saturday afternobn. Under the direction of Mi C. J. Hill (station controller), stretcher bearers and other, first aid members attended ‘‘.patients ” in the street or brought them into the station for further treatment. The demonstration was repeated later in the afternoon, and minor faults apparent in the first display were rectified. The station was thrown open to the public, and many residents of the district were thus able to see the post functioning as it would during a raid. The . station, which will be the only centre for medical assistance in Maori Hill in the event of emergency, is still in need of certain equipment. Most urgently required are blankets, rugs, old sheets, pillow cases, flour bags, white material, hessian, bedding, waterproof sheeting, old nightdresses and pyjamas, basins, bowls, buckets, jugs, hot-water bottles, etc. Enamel bed pans are also required, these being taken on loan only.
