PRESUMED LOST
AN AMERICAN FREIGHTER (Rec. 8 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Feb. 7. The steamer Cynthia Olsen (1280 tons), under charter to the United States Army- as a freight transport, has not been reported since December 7, when she was attacked by a Japanese submarine 1200 miles east of Seattle and has now been presumed lost.
