KINDERGARTEN WORK
GRANTS FOR TRAINING STUDENTS
(PA.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 5. Provision for the payment of grants for training students in kindergarten work is made in regulations gazetted to-night. The Minister of Education, Mr H. G. R. Mason, stated that the general purpose of the regulations was to provide a minimum of £SO a year per teacher during the period of training, but the actual administration of the grant was carried out' by the Kindergarten Association. The Minister added that the Government realised the importance of kindergarten work and its bearing upon the whole future of the child.
