WOMEN'S BASEBALL
CHAMPIONSHIPS ABANDONED (PA.) WANGANUI, Feb. 3. The Management Committee of the New Zealand Women's Baseball Association has decided to abandon the New Zealand interprovincial and club championships, which were to have been held in Palmerston North early in March. The reason for this decision was the inadvisability of taking girls from their work, much, of which was connected with . the war effort. .
