AWARD TO SERGEANT HULME INVESTITURE IN NELSON (P.A.) ROTORUA, Jan. 29. One of the few investitures with respect to the .Victoria Cross to take place in New Zealand will be held in Nelson on Monday, when Sergeant A. C. Hulme will receive his award at trie hands of the Governor-General, Sir Cyril Newall. This investiture in Sergeant Hulme's home town will coincide with the centennial celebrations of the Nelson province, and is to take place on the Cathedral steps. Sergeant Hulme was awarded the Victoria Cross during October for conspicuous gallantry in Crete. He is still receiving medical treatment for an injury to a hand received on active service, but is making satisfactory progress.
