WAR CASUALTIES
NAVY AND AIR FORCE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 27. The following naval casualties were announced to-day:— Nilsson, Lieutenant Axel Gottfrich, R.N.Z.N.R., died; daughter, Mrs Lily V. Leitch, Auckland. Fisher. Able Seaman Arthur Stanley, R.N.Z.N.V.R., died after an operation; mother, Mrs Emily L. Fisher. Parernata. The following air casualties were announced (all are members of the R.N.Z.A.F.): — T , Anderson, Aircraftman Ivan Victor Strachan, killed in action; mother. Mrs V. W. Anderson, Dannevirke. St George, Aircraftman Raymond Stewart, slightly wounded: father. Mr A, M. St. George, Hamilton. Browne, Sergeant Arnold George, killed in action: mother, Mrs E. Horne, Kalgoorlie. , , Irving, Sergeant Thomas Walter, killed in action: mother, Mrs R. Irving, Napier.
