Broad Bay.—Grandmothers' Day. Mrs H. McTaggart presided. Roll call: "Things grandma did without." Motto: " Rest is not idleness, but peace of mind." Sprays were presented to each grandmother and a small gift to Mrs Cotton, a great-grandmother. Items: Mesdames Harley, H. McTaggart, Perriman, Ross, and Miss M. Deas. Competition: Mrs Perriman. Hostesses: Mesdames H. and A. McTaggart, Harley, Thomson, Wilson, and Misses Deas. Windsor Park.—Mrs Webster presided. Roll call: "A favourite book and its author." Mrs Fordyce gave a talk on "Experiences of a Woman Writer." Mrs Marshall spoke on care of the eyes- and ears. Mrs Webster read a pioneer story. Competitions: Layer cake—Mesdames Webster and Craig. Scrap books (for hospital)— Mrs Rowlands. Misses-Betty and Mary Buzan. Book cover—Mesdames Webster and Craig, and Miss Rita .Wilkinson. Flowers—Miss Rita Wilkinson. Mesdames Fisher and Buzan. Stirling.—Mrs W. Logie presided. Motto: "There is good in the worst of us; even in a rotten apple the pips are good." Roll call: "A Christmas or humorous story."
