THE KING AND QUEEN
A VISIT TO PORTSMOUTH RUGBY, Dec. 4. The King and Queen visited naval establishments at Portsmouth, and met men of the British and Allied navies whose ships were in port. They "saw a demonstration of street fighting by men of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines. Their Majesties, who were received by Admiral Sir Edward James, com-mander-in-chief at Portsmouth, were given an enthusiastic reception by the dockyard workers, many of whom were women. They met Free French sailors, a Jugoslav lieutenant-com-mander who is undergoing a course of training, and a number of men from the American Navy.
