EXTENSION OF SERVICE ,
During this month the range of the district nursing service has been extended to provide to a greater extent for the community generally. The service is free, as formerly, to those who are unable to pay. and from others small voluntary contributions will be accepted in accordance with their means. , . Superintending Nurse Thomson, who has recently been appointed to reorganise this department on modern lines, attends at the St. John Ambulance Association's headquartei\s. Lower York place (telephone 12-594). from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. until 9.30 a.m., and from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m.. to answer inquiries for the services of a district nurse.
