BULLER GORGE RAILWAY
DRIVING THE LAST SPIKE FOUR MINISTERS TO ATTEND CEREMONY (PA.) WESTPORT, Nov. 24. Arrangements were completed to-day for the ceremony next Tuesday of driving the last spike in the Buller Gorge railway, completing the connection between Westport and Reef ton, and thence with the main railway system of the South Island. The Prime Minister, Mr P. Fraser, and the Minister of Public Works Mr H T. Armstrong, will arrive by plane ori Tuesday morning for the function, leaving on their return in the afternoon. The Minister of Mines. Mr P. C Webb, and the Minister of National Service, Mr R. Semple, will arrive earlier and deliver public addresses on Monday night.
