WEDDING

Hannah — Skinner The wedding was celebrated at First Church on Saturday afternoon of Flying Officer J. G. Hannah, only son of Mr and Mrs A. Hannah, of Manor place, and Ailsa Cairnie, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Eric Skinner, of Rawhiti street. The Rev. W. Allen Stevely performed the ceremony The bride looked charming in a slimfitting trained gown of brocaded lame. Her veil was held in place by a topknot of rosebuds and lily of the valley, and she carried a sheaf of the same flowers. The bridesmaids, Misses Joyce Venn and Ainslie Grant, wore fullskirted frocks of apple-green and lilac taffeta respectively. A distinctive notewas the bouquets of sweet peas and lilac in the shape of air force wings and they wore miniature wings of the same*flowers on their hair. Flying Officer Jack Redstone acted as best man, and Flying Officer W. Rutherford as groomsman. The ushers were Messrs Ewen Cameron. Keith Skinner and Allan White.

During the signing of the register Miss Clara Rouse sang a solo A reception was held at Crawford Lounge where the bride's mother, wearing a black suit with bolero embroidered in white, and black picture hat, welcomed the guests. Her bouquet was of red roses. She was assisted by the bridegroom's mother, who wore a black model frock with a black, and white hat, and carried a bouquet of salmonpink roses.
