ORDER OF RECHABITES

A combined meeting of juvenile arid adult members of the Independent Order of Rechabites, Otago Province, was held recently in the form of a complimentary social to pay tribute to Bro. A. T. Mclndoe, who has rendered a great deal of valuable service to the Order over a period of nearly half a century. The arrangements for the evening were in the hands of the Provincial Council, Prov. C.R. Bro. Nixon occupying the chair. The gathering was a representative one, and was fortunate in having the District C.R., Bro. A. V. Gain, present. Bro. Gain spoke of the services rendered by Bro. Mclndoe, and the various offices he had filled during his membership. A small presentation was made to Bro. Mclndoe. In reply, Bro. Mclndoe said that he hoped to be of service to the Order, although he was withdrawing from the Provincial Council.
