GENERAL DE GAULLE
MESSAGE TO FOLLOWERS TIME TO REDOUBLE EFFORTS RUGBY, Oct. 13. General de Gaulle has sent the following message to the French: —“ Germany’s military successes in Russia and the account to which they have been turned by enemy propaganda must not deceive Frenchmen for a single minute. The enormous increased Allied forces and the growing resistance of subjugated peoples—above all, of the French people—weigh, and will weigh, much more heavily in the scales of war than the progress made by German tanks in the immense territory of Russia. This is the moment to set our teeth, control our nerves and tongues, and redouble our efforts in every sphere, as we once did in answer to the call of Clemenceau.” ■' ;
