“DON’T TALK”
WOMEN’S WAR SERVICE AUXILIARY
The Prime Minister. Mr Peter Fraser, will speak over all New Zealand stations on Sunday next at 8.45 p.m. to inaugurate a “ Don’t Talk ” campaign. In connection with this campaign the Director of National Service has requested that all Dunedin registrants of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary and affiliated organisations parade at noon on Monday next. The parade will take the form of a procession consisting of units of the army. Red Cross Transport, voluntary aids. St. John Nursing Division. Women’s Auxiliary of the Legion of Frontiersmen., and W.W.S.A. groups comprising canteen, transport, bicycle and signalling, Air Force (Women s Auxiliary), emergency hospital, Plunket Aid and Land Army. The route will be from Princes street south alone Princes and George streets to Frederick street Registrants will assemble at the Drill Hall. Kensington, dn Thursday and Friday afternoons next at 2.30 p.m. or. on the same evenings at 5.45 o’clock for an hour’s drill instruction. It is confidently expected that there will be a full muster of registrants. Prior to the parade the distribution of “ Don’t Talk ” posters will be undertaken by members of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary to all places in the city area where talk is likely to be overheard. The suburban deliveries will be made by postmen. The public is asked to disolay these posters in a prominent position and so assist the worthy object of the campaign—the savin? of valuable lives ships and merchandise.
