“THE DOCTORS’ BILL”
PROTEST BY COUNTY COUNCIL “ I think that it's wrong at a time when unity should be the rule in this little nation, that the Government should try to hoodwink the doctors when so many members of their profession are away defending their country,” said Cr F. M. Howell at the monthly meeting of the Taieri County Council yesterday. Cr Howell moved that the council should write to the Minister of Health, Mr A. H. Nordmeysr, protesting against the ‘‘ Doctors’ Bill.” Cr G. Stevenson seconded the motion, which was carried unanimously.
