GREEK GRATITUDE
SERVICES OF N.Z.E.F. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 26. A' message expressing the gratitude of the King, the Government and the oeople of Greece to the 2nd N.Z.E.F and the Dominion has been received by the Prime Minister, Mr P. Fraser, through the High Commissioner for New Zealand in London, Mr W. J. Jordan. The text of the cablegram from Mr Jordan was as follows: At a meeting of the Inter-Allied Conference to-day the Prime Minister of Greece asked me to convey the most grateful thanks of his Majesty the King of the Hellenes and the Government and people of Greece to you and to our Government and people, especially to the general, brigadiers, all officers and other ranks of the New Zealand / forces for their great services in Greece, for the personal protection which was given to their King and others during their preparation for and departure from their country.
