Valedictory'.—Last Wednesday night Pastor Hoffman presided over a large gathering of members and friends in the Baptist Church to bid farewell to Miss Bradfleld,' who is shortly returning to missionary work in Bengal, India. The evening was spent in games, and, after an address by Mr Maginness, the following items were contx'ibuted: —Vocal duet, Mrs Hoffman and Mr Wood; mouth organ duet, Messrs W. and E. Wright; duet, Mr and Mrs Sands, of the Ratanui Presbyterian Church; biblical play, Young People's Society; recitation and song, Miss Audrey Hoffman. Mr Hoffman presented Miss Bradfleld with two books as a parting gift from the church, and Mrs Sands, on behalf of the Ratanui P.W.M.U. handed over a small sft of money. Miss Bradfleld suitably replied.
