Teviot Angling Club.—There was a good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Teviot Angling Club on Tuesday night. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: —President, Mr J. Cook; secretary. Mr B. Anderson: Works Comrnitlee—Messrs T. Harper, H. McMahon and T. Hayes. A letter was received from the Otago Anglers’ Association about the H. G. Williams Diamond Jubilee Championship Shield, the first competition for which was to be held in February on the Pomaliaka River. A report from the Otago, Acclimatisation Society- indicated the liberation of young fry in the district as follows;—Mr G. Sanders's dam, 500 rainbow: Pomahaka River, 30,000 brown; Lake Onslow. 21,000 brown; Alexandra dam, 9000 brown; Butcher's Gully dam. 9000 brown. The meeting decided to request that 10,000 brown trout fry should be liberated in the Beaumont dam. It was also decided that the secretary should write to the society applying for a medal to be competed for by fly fishing on Lake Onslow. A competition was arranged for the opening day of the season, the weighing-in of fish to take place at Robb's Garage at 9 p.m. Numerous trophies for competition throughout the season were presented by the members present. Personal.—Mr and Mrs T. Blanchard have received a card from their son, Sapper T, Blanchard, who is a prisoner of war in Germany. He indicates that he is lit and well. Men’s Golf.—The final rounds of the championships and the Cadbury Fry Hudson Cup were played last Saturday. The following are the results:— Senior Championship: J. A. Pannett 82 — 81 —163; runner-up, F. J. Laloli 83 — 84—167. Junior Championship: F, Ferguson 87—93—180; runner-up, G. N Jeffery 88—94—182. Cadbury Fry Hudson Cup: F. J. Laloli 83—14—69, 84—14 —7O. 139; G. N. Jeffery 88—20—68, 94 20—74, 142; B. Anderson 96—24—72, 94—24—70, 142.
