TORNADOES STRIKE AMERICA NEW YORK, (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) Aug. 25. Tornadoes, thunderstorms and sudden . terrific winds struck the Atlantic coasFfrom Massachusetts to Virginia. One person was killed and scores injured, homes were demolished and uprooted trees blocked highways.
