A PROMISE KEPT
MR FRASER AT BOLTON (0.C.) LONDON. July 29. Fulfilling a promise he made before he left New Zealand for England, Mr Peter Fraset visited 72ryears-old Mrs Angelina Dowse at her. grocery shop in Westminster, near Bolton. Mrs Dowse is the , mother of Mr Percy Dowse, who left England to go to New Zealand 18 years ago, and who is now a member of the National Executive of the New Zealand Labour Party. Mr Dowse had asked the Prime Minister to convey his good wishes and to make sure his mother was keeping fit. •
Mr Fraser, who was wearing a “ V for Victory ” badge, presented to him by a girl employee at an aircraft works, • talked with his hostess for a quarter; of an npur. and then resumed his journey north.
