LANCASHIRE AND YORKSHIRE SOCIETY
The Lancashire and Yorkshire Society held another successful social last Saturday. The president (Mr F. D. Swift) was In the chair, and Mrs Macdoneli acted as accompanist for the evening A pleasant time was spent in community singing, competitions and games, interspersed by the following items:—Songs— Miss Ledgerwood, Miss June Applegate and Mr J. Devereux; duet. Mrs Brooks and Mrs Brighting; dance, Miss Betty Applegate; Yorkshire reading, Mrs Walker; magical item. Mr R. Wilson.
