MAGIC FOR FIGHTERS
NOVEL PATRIOTIC PROGRAMME Many new and mystifying magical creations will be presented by the “ Magic for Fighters ” cast in the Concert Chamber on Thursday evening. The proceeds are to be given to the “ Comforts for Fighters ” Fund, which will close at the end of this month. Work at the rehearsals of “ Magic for Fighters ” indicates that Thursday’s entertainment will be more varied than a musical revue, more amusing than a comedy, more intriguing than a drama, more novel than vaudeville, faster than a film, and more mvstifving and thrilling than a circus The producer and the cast have been rehearsing for weeks, with the object of presenting the first show of its kind for patriotic purposes and swelling the “Comforts fcr Fighters” Fund with the admission money of as many people as the Concert Chamber will hold. The magicians will present a remarkable variety of tricks and illusions, most of which were performed before the Great Levante at the Magicians’ Club during his recent visit. But the programme does not rely entirely on magic. There are revue and ballet artists who are outstanding in their particular acts In the fight for victory the Comforts for Fighters ’’ Fund is of vital importance. Every shilling accruing from the “ Magic for Fighters ” entertainment on Thursday night will go to this cause, and will be expended entirely in buying comforts for the soldiers, sailors, airmen and nurses overseas. The box plan is now open at Begg’s. *
