COLLAPSE IN CHURCH While entering the Roslyn Presbyterian Church yesterday morning, Elizabeth Ross, aged 74 years, a spinster, who resided at 16 Gamrna street, Roslyn. collapsed and died. An inquest will not be necessary. • VISITOR'S SUDt)EN DEATH While proceeding along Crawford street about 10 o'clock yesterday morning. James Stewart Laurie, aged 56 years, a resident of Timaru, collapsed and died. No inquest will be held. i INFANT FRACTURES LEG As a result of falling at the home of his parents at 71 Cutten. street yesterday afternoon, Raymond Jackson, aged 23 months, fractured his leg. He was admitted to the Hospital at 4.15 INJURY TO FINGER Herbert Dale, a married man, aged 46 years, residing at 12 Harrington street, Port Chalmers, was admitted to the Hospital at 12.15 on Saturday afternoon after the middle finger of his left hand had almost been amputated as the result of catching his hand in the seat of a railway carriage. FOOTBALLERS INJURED Graham Budge, aged 2.1 years, residing at 60 Glen road, Caversham, was admitted to Hospital at 2.30 on Saturday afternoon suffering from concussion, received while playing football. Another footballer, Clifford Irvine, aged 21 years, residing at 78 Musselburgh Rise, was admitted to Hospital at 4.45 suffering from a fractured right leg, received while playing at Carisbrook. SEVERE BURNS , Louisa Hedges, an elderly woman, residing at 472 Cargill road, was admitted to Hospital at 5.30 p.m. on Saturday suffering from severe burns. Her clothes caught alight from the fire at her home. FALL UNDER TRAM (P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 15. Fatal head injuries were received by a middle-aged woman when she fell 'under a tram at the safety zone on the intersection of Victoria street west and Queen street at about 6.50 tonight. The victim, was Mrs Clement Ina Minna Bedogni. a widow, aged 4fi years, of Parnell , Mrs Bedogni had been visiting a married daughter at Ponsonby and left for her home at 6.30. The position oi her body was such that the tram had to be lifted by jacks before it could' be removed. Tram traffic was delayed for about half an hour by the accident. Death was instantaneous.
