NAZI INDUSTRY HEAVY R.A.F. RAIDS FOUR SUCCESSIVE NIGHTS BREST AGAIN BOMBED » (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) LONDON. June 15. Germany's vital industries were heavily bombed by the Royal Air Force last night for the fourth night in succession. On the preceding nights it was the Ruhr which bore the brunt of the attacks, but last night it was the turn of the Rhineland. British bombers concentrated on Cologne and military targets in the area were successfully attacked. *

The Air Force communique, announcing the raid, stated that numerous fires were started, but the visibility was such that the full effects of the bombing could be observed. All the British planes returned safely Attack on Warships

An Air Ministry commur.ique states that the offensive against the Ruhr was continued by the Aircraft Bombei Command on Friday night. A heavy attack was made on the industrial district at Schwerte, and extensive damage was done. Strong forces of the same command also attacked the docks at Brest, where the battleships Scharnhorst asd Gneisenau and a cruiser of the Hipper class are still lying. Many heavy bombs were seen to burst in the dock area and to straddle the berths of all three ships. The docks at Boulogne were also attacked. One aircraft of the Bomber Command is missing. Aircraft of the Coastal Command carried out night attacks on enemy shipping in the Channel and bo iced aerodromes in Brittany. Two aircraft of the Coastal Command are missing from the patrol. Offensive Sweep

Strong British forces of fighters, accompanied by one squadron of bombers, carried out widespread offensive operations over the Channel and Northern France this morning. Two airfields at St. Omer were successfully attacked and direct hits were seen on buidlings. Two enemy fighters were shot down by R.A.F. fighters, making the total three destroyed by them during the morning. One British bomber is missing from these operations.
