DAILY INTERCESSION

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you. Not as the world giveth give I unto you Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (Jesus. John xiv, 27)

Almighty Father, Creator, Redeemer, Lord of all peoples, whose purposes for Thy kingdom no sin of man can finally thwart, we pray that Thou wilt truly capture the hearts and wills of our people, that being Thy servants and the doers of Thy purpose Thou mayest deliver us for the advancing of Thy kingdom. Deliver us from ivrong or low ideas of Thy nature and will. May we know Thee as the Holy One that inhabitest eternity, and acknowledge Thee with wonder, awe, and humility. May we know that there is mercy with Thee, that Thou dost proclaim Thy forgiveness of the penitent in the Cross of Thy Son, and so come as suppliants clinging only to His Cross. Enlighten our minds, teach -our .consciences, purify our wills, give each the vision of spiritual realities without which nations perish, and give that personal and national righteousness that alone exalts nations. We cry unto Thee on behalf of our King and statesmen and all in authority that Thy heavenly, wisdom may be given to them, and that in this dread conflict evil may be overthrown and right mav triumph May the nations know that the Lord reiqneth; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
