RECRUITS FOR INFANTRY MINIMUM AGE REDUCED (Rec. 8 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 14. The minimum age for recruits in the A.I.F. is to be reduced from 20 to 19. This is one result of the need for reinforcements for the Middle East. While recruiting for the A.I.F. is lagging,.the recruiting figures for the R.A.A.F. have • more than trebled in a month. There were 660 R.A.A.F. recruits during the week ended June 7.
