FIGURES TO MAY 31 DECREASE IN wItHER KILLINGS The official figures of export killings at the Dominion's -freezing works from October 1. 1940. to May 31. 1941. as issued by the New Zealand Meat Producers Board, show that lamb killings have reached a total of 10.694,447, or 693,298 carcasses above that of the previous season. Ewe killings now show a decrease of 362.435 carcasses compared with the previous season, the current total being 1 479,460. Wethers have declined by 682,562, the killings this season totalling 591,725. Porker killings (194,289 in the North Island, and 6903 in the South) total 201,192, showing an increase of 114.206 carcasses. Baconer killings were as follows: North Island 289,500 (compared with 309,355): South Island 10,058 (11.634), a decrease this season of 21.431 carcasses. Killings of choppers total 10,229, being a decrease of 854.
