MERCHANDISE MARKET WRAPPING PAPER RATIONED There are no imports of wrapping paper reaching the local market, and the New Zealand Paper Mills Company has consequently to carry the burden of meeting the demand. The demand, however, is greater than the supply, and as a result the company finds it necessary to ration its products. Increases In Prices Advances have taken place in the product of a well-known brand of boot polish and a well-known brand of patent barley and groats. Overseas Goods Overseas goods which have lately reached New Zealand include corn syrup, glucose and greaseproof paper. Paste Tubes Various packers of tooth pastes in New Zealand are finding it difficult to secure sufficient supplies of metal tubes to pack their goods, and as a result some brands are in short supply. A shipment of tubes is expected shortly, and these should relieve the position. Drained Cherries A small parcel of an Auckland pack of drained cherries has reached the market. Honey Supply A supply of honey in 21b sealed tins is available on the market. This line is suitable for shipment to soldiers overseas. Whisky and Rum A further supply of rum and case whisky has reached the market. Another shipment of whisky is expected in due course. MINING NEWS WEST COAST DREDGES (P.A.) GREYMOUTH, June 14. Dredge feturns have been issued as folSnowy River: 91oz for 125 hours (28,000 Golden Sands: 30oz for 45 shifts. Argo: 340 z for 125 hours (11,000 yards). Maori: 520 z ldwt for 113 hours (9000 yards). The bottom tumbler broke on Friday in heavy digging and the dredge will be out of commission for two oi three weeks.
