SPINAL MENINGITIS
CASE ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL (P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 13. A positive case of cerebro-spinal meningitis/was admitted to the Auckland Hospital at the end of last week from the Tuakau district. The patient who to-day was reported to be improving is a young man who.had been called up for territorial service, but had not entered camp. Health Department officers stated that this is the first case treated in the Auckland Hospital since the outbreak in the north, and no contact had been traced between this patient and any of those in Northland.
