RAIDS ON THE RUHR
ANOTHER AIR ATTACK HEAVIEST YET DELIVERED (Rec. 11,30 p,m.)„ ;> LONDON, June 13. German raids over Great Britain last night were on a small scale, but ; the R.A.F. bombers launched the heaviest attack yet upon the Ruhr; which' suffered for the second night in succession. The official statement reported that large numbers of bombers were used in the raid, which was successful. One enemy aircraft was destroyed while operating over lsast Anglia last night. Some casualties were caused in the area. It is revealed that 5394 civilians have been killed and 5181 injured in air raids over Britain this year. The total since last September, when the blitz began, is 39,678. Enemy aircraft were engaged off the north-east coast last night, but did not cross the country.
