WITHDRAWN FROM CAMP
APPEAL FOR CHEESE WORKERS (P.A.V ■ WELLINGTON, June 13. Appeals 'in respect to two men already in camp in Trentham for overseas service came before the Armed Forces Appeal Board yesterday. Sine die adjournments were granted, the effect-of which will be to withdraw the men from the army and replace them in their civilian 'Occupation -till such time as the labour scarcity in their particular industry is remedied to an extent which will permit their return to the army. The appeals were lodged by the Director of National Service for two cheese factory hands on the ground of public interest. The basis for the appeals was that skilled labour was needed for the factories because of the demand to increase the cheese output.
