PLUNKET SOCIETY
MIDDLEMARCH BRANCH At the bi-monthly meeting of the Middlemarch branch of the Plunket Society, held on Tuesday, the treasurer reported satisfactory returns from the stock sale catering, and the catering for the A. and P. “presentation of prizes” social. The suggestion that a collection box should be placed in the Plunket room was approved. It was decided to approach the saleyards committee regarding the erection of a shelter for the women who ventured to stand out in the cold for the purpose of providing tea and sandwiches at stock sales. A very fair profit has been made for the past season, and the Plunket funds have benefited considerably.
