INQUEST INTO GIRL’S DEATH An inquest into the death of Dorris Lindsay, aged 19 years, who was involved in a collision with a motor car while cycling on Wednesday evening, was opened before Mr H. J. Dixon, S.M., sitting as coroner yesterday morning. After evidence of identification had been given by the father of the deceased, Robert John Lindsay, the proceedings were adjourned sine die. Sergeant D. J. O’Carroll represented the police. DREDGE HAND FOUND DEAD (P.A.) GREYMOUTH, June 12. William Thomas Lawson, aged 33, a married man with four. children, a dredge hand, was found shot at his home at Ikamatua early this morning with a rifle alongside him. He died on the way to the Reefton Hospital. A message yesterday recording the death of Leslie Robert Grant, a chemist, was wrongly designated by the Telegraph Office as originating from Wellington. Its source was Waipukurau.
