AMERICAN COMMENT ON CRETE

APPALLING LACK OF UNITY WASHINGTON, (Rec. 0.15 a.m.) June 12. He added that the lack of unity was appalling and resulted in the defeat in Crete. Colonel Knox’s remarks were made in reply to suggestions that the United States should form a separate air force command. He reiterated his belief that the war would be decided by naval power.
